Upholstered Hillcrest Office Chair - The Restoration

A fantastic 1950's piece - really sturdy and strong with french polished arms. Newly upholstered using a mix of teqniques. The seat was hand sprung, and traditionally upholstered. The back used traditional methods with modern materials (rubberised hair and foam). Topped off with a tiny and stunning piece of green silk velvet fabric - given to me at the Albert E Chapman fabric sale a few years ago.

The chair has a yellow fabric back and was a commissioned piece for the magazine Turps Banana whose first two issues were canary yellow and lime green.
