Upholstery by Emma Horn

Emma lives and works in East London. She has been learning the craft of upholstery for over 10 years, and in 2013 completed the Advanced Upholstery course at the London Metropolitan University. Her work has been awarded highly commended by the worshipful company of upholders.

She regularly has stalls at various well known London markets selling small pieces of furniture, vintage lace, trimmings, jewellery, glassware and interesting objects…at these markets, she often finds beautiful old fabrics and unwanted chairs for upholstery projects…rescuing and reinventing these finds.

Emma studied Fine Art painting at Canterbury and later a Post Graduate Certificate in Photography at Central St Martins.
She is happy to take on commissions, perhaps giving a much loved piece of furniture a new lease of life or making good use of a favourite or sentimental piece of fabric.
